Shoot how many times did they pause the action at GIR to mess with the timing system. So new or used anything can break. Maybe it was because my car took so long to stop the clock,  |

Bees took out the timing system at Gateway abuot 3-4 years ago at Nostalgia. Had to wait 2 hrs in staging lanes for them to fix it, so anything can happen at any time to any and all equiptment. Im looking for a track close and some good friends getting together again. Thanks Ronnie. Keep on going.

The wiring ran in buried conduit, water corroded the wiring. That's why the latest systems use fiber optics for the signals. Also drainage for the channels the conduits are buried in.

Gateway always had issues for years with scoreboards, timing. They even canceled races due to issues!
The biggest issue Ronnie faces is , move dirt! the ground can be prepped , injected, and shaped for the strip! Roads can be shaped, as well as pit areas, so alot of the dirt work could be done , and moving ahead ! Just don't put any building up yet till this suit goes away,And who knows , once they see the work starting, they may go away !
It appears all the basics are in place, and there is full support for the strip!

I drove up to check out the MAR site Sunday 02/04/12; and thought Id see more.
All I got to see was a big sign that said; Future Home of MAR,
and a street sign; Mid America Raceway Blvd.
I turned down Mid America Raceway Blvd. (A small gravel road into a farm field.)
and that was it.....

I talked to Ronnie, he and Steve were at the Indy MOPAR swap meet this past weekend ,so there was 2 less shovels being used. ;D But I expect something soon  |

I appreciate all the effort for the track how can we get mad at the guys trying to get it going things are not always going to go on schedule go race gateway until the doors are open at MAR Park hopefully they get things going soon. Be happy we have a local track close to ease the pain from last year...Sorry to all of the KCIR racers you guys really got screwed over... FN McCaskill
