So is it any of your business? If you are an investor it is and you already know if not it's for them to know and for you to find out, but here is a hint if the surveyors are surveying and the excavators are excavating and the track is being built there must be an agreement somewhere.

It was just a question to ask the powers that be if everything was signed sealed and DONE. You're right I'm not an investor but I know people who are. Yes the surveyors will be surveying and excavators will be moving dirt, but until they get the financing done there wont be much of anything else. Like I said I meant nothing negative or harmful by my question, it was just a question.

It wasn't a question of where the money is or isn't. It was a question if all the I's have been dotted and the T's crossed. I have heard that they have several commitments from banks and even some grant type money. It was a simple question, have the loan papers been signed?
It wasn't meant to be a slap in any ones face or question any ones integrity. Being in construction I know it takes money to build anything and a project of this magnitude is going to take a lot of money. Pure and simple no big deal.

Like I said, I'm in the construction trade and I don't start to build someone a new house unless I have some type of financing in place. I want this new project to be done as much as anyone else. I have talked to several other contractors that are going to be involved in various aspects of construction on this. They like most of us in the trade need the work and I hope they get it.

As far a someone asking questions about GMP, CCD or CID. There have been loads of questions asked about the finances of these operations and if I'm not mistaken Dennis some of them may have even been asked by you.

I know Ronnie, Steve, Dennis, Terry and Harry and most of the gang that used to either work at or race at the old MAR and I like every single one of them. I wish them all well in this project and hope to be one of the first cars down the new MAR Park track.
You see, I, unlike a lot of guys that get on here whining and whimpering actually do race every chance I get and travel quite a ways to do it. I don't sit on here and complain about the fact that we don't have a track close by, I make the choice to get off the couch and go out and race.

As for me getting to race this year , it didn't happen, my injury kept me from it, , but i did make my spectator presence known at a couple tracks , and went to M M W at Indy
Now that I've bben given a release from the dr to go back to work, which I have, my car will be done , and next year i should be able to wear it out .
Now then, I made my self a promise that i was not going to replying on most of these boards,
for one thing , I don't need to be beat over the head by anyone over what is my opinon!
or just because I posted allot on here or some where else!
I caught allot of flack on here early because no one thought the track would be built!
but I tried to be positive in my post and i posted allot of things , just to keep this site up and active.
now that the track getting built , there really no need for me to post, other than to see if Ronnie or someone at the track needs me to help do something, , that invitation still stands ,

A local track is more important than a schedule ,low payouts will be a problem for the bracket racers not the run for fun won't care till race more than once a year .

MARP not built set to be built .
Plenty of rumors ,speculation,frustration by all involved in motorsports in St Louis area.

OK, Hold on a minute. Dennis do you really believe that by you posting as much as you have on these forums that you single hand-idly keep this and other forums up and active? First of all, most of what you post on here is pretty difficult to read, and second, half of the information you posted turned out to be inaccurate at best. I don't know or care where or who you get your information from but how about doing a little research before you post stuff on here and check the information to verify that it's true.

I have talked to several people that have been involved in both MAR and GMP during this whole ordeal and I didn't post a third of what I heard because I couldn't verify it.

Don't be an old wash woman and spread every piece of gossip that you hear. It's guys like you that cause a lot of problems with rumors, unless that's what you are wanting to do? Spread a bunch of half truths and gossip..

Hahaha, I wrote the same thing on moparts.com about dennismopar.

Obviously they had a groundbreaking with state rep and even nhra was there.... I find it hard to still think that this is not legitimate.

Well, it's almost the time of year when the racing organizations start working out their schedules for next year. I'm not talking about the big shows, I'm talking about the club racers: Ozark Mountain Super Shifters, the NPCA, the NDRL, the nostalgia super stock groups, the nostalgia funny cars groups, the Outlaw Fuel Altereds, and so on. Now that groundbreaking has happened, I would imagine we'll see (well, maybe not until a schedule is out) them reaching out to Donnie and crew to get dates. A lot of these groups come in and bring butts to the seats, always a good thing!
