Dover is not associated with the drag stip in Nashville. I think that one is run or owned by a relative of Dallas Jones at Beech Bend.

The dragstrip at Nashville isn't part of the speedway property. It is owned by a relative of Dallas Jones, and they are trying to build up car counts and spectators there.

Would you not like to be the excavation co. who got to move all that dirt.(if he got paid) If he's lucky maybe he'll get to put all those unfinished projects back the way they were.If Dover started that project and had that much crap going on all at once they deserve their place in infamy.I counted at least three unfinished large to midsize projects on that chunk of ground.

They way I understand it, the father of Dover Entertainment was into racing. He built The Monster Mile, bought Memphis, Gateway and built Nashville. He passed away. The "kids" inherited the business and couldn't care less about racing. Can't really blame them. The casino probably makes more in a few weeks than a race track makes in a year.

Best shot is for next year. You will not hear anything until it is a done deal. It is being kept under very low profile. Suppose to be on NHRA 2012 schedule for a race in October (next year).
