today i heard at a carshow that Moroso bought GIR. Now here is where it gets tricky. They bought to strictly sell it to Al-Anabi. And he only wants the strip. Wait there's more. None other than Dale Ernhart Jr., is going to buy the circle track and run a monthly series.

there is 0 truth tho that rumor!
everything i ve been told ,says the track has been sold, but to an individule, ,not to open this year, thats the best one i have,,
with the issues of adrl right now, the al-anabi, wont be buying anything,
as for moroso,, they did buy memphis, is still not open!!
pbir group/moroso, pulled out of gateway long time back, they have or is in trouble financial as well,
but hopefully they can get pulled together ,
right now im more worried about paying my electric bill,,!!

Car shows are great. I hear a new one at every show. Last night at the LOT, I heard, some guy named Schumacher, that loves racing. Bought a drag strip in Kentucky and the circle track in Herman and is building a new 1/4 mile strip right next to the circle track. ;D
Heading out to a benefit show for BIG STEVE at Lehmann's landing in a little while. Can't wait to hear what comes from that side of town. Bench racing at it's finest! ;D
I wonder what kind of rumors Ronnie hears?

Personally I hope this supposed new owner takes a bow soon or a bulldozer takes over as the quantity of BULLCRAP is astonishing.So much time wasted making up so many stories with so many lies and misinformation hope something is done soon either way just to get it settled and done.Remember every untrue rumor is started by a liar.

What rumor is real ?
You guys are killing me but I expect nothing less .
Maybe after working this week in the heat this week I'll see mirages of tracks sprouting up in Mo , IL again .

hey don doesnt matter what rumor you want to believe in, they are just rumors,
shoot there are some on the city trustee at madison who still beleive the dover still owns it.
eventually something will go,
i did go by there today there is some comstrution trailers in there , and workers doing work on the dragstrip, couldnt tell exactly what they where doing , but something??

Here is a new rumor just got home kcir the city there is trying to buy the track and turn it into a park or expand the near by golf course NHRA tracks are falling fast. Good news is they turned them down once before .

OK, I went by the place this morning. Didn't see a thing just a note on the guard shack and fence that said to gain entry call the Madison Police Dept. The place looks like a freakin ghost town. Someone has cut the grass, but they should have cut the grass in the pits and the staging lanes as well. The pit area has grass growing to what looks like 2' tall, the same with the staging lanes. I looked all over and never saw any type of construction trailer, the only trailer I saw was the old arm band trailer. I'm not sure who saw what, but I sure as hell didn't see any signs of life over there. There was a company working by the back levee area but that's all related to the new bridge that's going in over there.
