Do I have to tip the bathroom attendant? Will he hand out mints, cologne and a warm towel? It is a race track for Christ's sake!

I really dont think that is what is being presented here as far as an attendant. More like a permanent janitor to keep things clean. I was at Ohio Valley dragstrip earlier this year, they have permenant bathrooms, and they were disgusting. Why do some people here over dramatize things? LOL!! Some of you guys could use an occasional mint! ;D

Clean bathrooms mean a lot to people bringing the family out to the race track. A shower house would be a huge plus for the weekend racer's

Chance you'll have to provide your own towel!Besides you won't be forced to use the showers,So it shouldn't matter to you if a tip is required.

I was just out at Speedway Auto Salvage today, and the billboard read, Gateway Motorsports Park welcomes NHRA back Sept. 28-29, 2012. Does that mean they wont be open until then, or just the NHRA event?

Just to let you know, Somebody will probably yell at you for posting about Gateway in the MAR thread. Gateway has a ADRL race in june and it's rumored to have regular weekly racing starting in the spring.

Just went up there today. The only viable difference from the ground breaking is that the wood pile is burned down. Couldnt find any survey marks.

rode by the Swamp today too.....looks like nothing has been done, but the sign out front for the Nationals was up and the bushes were trimmed where the sign sits....other then that, weeds everywhere and a sign on the guard shack that reads ...call Madison police for access.

I know that Ronnie and the crew was wanting to get the concrete poured before weather takes a dump,, I watched the long range forecast, it looks like we have about 10- 15 days before a large cold front changes our weather into a winter mode.
As for seeing sticks , flags of surveying , you might see them sometimes you do sometimes you don't.
Most likely it will be property lines , not actual track layout.
