on my bars i used mid hole to start with level or 0 degree on bar with 0 preload with driver in the seat, we did put 2 degree built into the chassie on rear these are on a 36 bar doesnt matter this is a start havent had car out yet but several guys that run with that is the start point and after that go down on bars for more 'hit' (adjust for pinion angle) and up take 'hit' away think the end result you will look for somewher e at 2 degrees bar with driver 3- 5 degrees or pinion as for preload havent any as yet most of us dont have little to any ,, but as for you'rs hard to say on preload

If you change a ladder bar set-up from any of the front hole locations, you have to reset pinion angle to the 2-4 degree nose down. Changing the front hole location changes your instant center, which changes the hit.

I go with 1.5 to 2 degrees on the pinion angle and always try to get my instant center as close to level on the pinion as I can. Makes the car leave much less violent than putting it up higher. Always use your right ladder bar to set pinion angle and use your left one to adjust pre load, and always go with nuetral pre load if possible will make the car drive straight and leave square

Convertor, I think. . . . should be higher stall. .. . around 4200 - 4500.
You should always be a minimum of 200 - 400 rpms under the flash of the convertor, for a stage RPM's, to keep from balloning the convertor. Which you no doubt, could do very easily with that 440.
Also, if you're running 135mph, you should be in the high 9's. . ..
