I would like to suggest that you guys that have been asked to attend would offer to Gateway some help from us. I don't think that they are staffed to do a lot of things. Might be something as simple as putting together some procedures, rules, etc. I would be happy to help where I can with these types of things.

Well I for one was glad to see that they didn't hire back some of the old workers, in that , some could have cared less if you was there, and that could be related to how Dover treated them Idono?, But still everyone make a decission to great fans and racers with friendly smile and helpfull hand! BIG AL I had no issue what so ever! good time talking to him , if there was issue with the car, he would tell us what to do to pass tech! The issuer they have now seams to come from high , no communications down to the employees, they should be getting better, just hard to see it, and getting answers from high is not any where close to what it should be! I too hope GMP pulls this out, it is a great facility and deserves to be running at top speed, instead of stumbling and tail spinning ! The racer are showing their displeasure by not being there, one of 2 thing can happen at that rate, bracket racing could die there, and go away, or once again the track could pull the plug and go away an early death, !

Unless GMP changes their ways, it will only be a big event track ! They cannot continue at the current state of affairs!

Things will be changing (for the better) at Gateway. There are negotiations going on right now that will bring a positive change to the way things have been operating there. I have also heard that they will be changing the brand of traction compound and not thin if 50% like they are now.

Sure hope you are correct! Nothing worse than trying to do damage control, and fix bad reputation ! Racers are very funny, a bad taste in the mouth , hard to get it out.

When you use VHT you have to mix with methanol.

Gateway has changed from VP traction compound to VHT, they have a new sprayer, and a new Bobcat with a track broom. They scraped and washed the track Monday and prepped Tuesday for the Pro Stock and ADRL test session yesterday. Good bite last night.

Gateway had the opportunity to hire experienced race people but chose to tell all that applied that they "Were not Qualified" and went to Manpower for workers. I know that from first hand experience. Worked at Gateway years back., Midamerica,NHRA DIV. 5and NHRA National Staff for years but Gateway said I wasnot Quallified to work there. This you answer to ALL of ther current problems!

Those of you that were at the ADRL races over the weekend know that Gateway is getting their act together. Records set in all classes, with help from the weather. Good luck happened to, one wreck, one wall scuff, and 1 minor oildown. Very smooth weekend. Now to see if Monster Mopar Weekend can pull off the same record!
