thanks for sharing those pics,i remember that chevy 2 if thats what that was in the 2nd pic,is that a young bret kepner at the switch,i was 20 years old when those pics was taken

hey Don.. I know most of those cars and where all are today but yours.....did you rebuild that one or start with a new one after the accident?
the Corvette was Benny's (and a few other owned it throught history ,,,, Freddie Shafer, Bill ?(from Festus) , Rich Robinson, Rich Klye, Benny Hoffman, Gary Litzinger and the car is a street car in south county now
you were racing Ed Dixon...which is the car John Kaiman has now
Braswell's Vega is still owned by Wayne and won at I57 this Labor Day weekend
Finley's green Camaro was just redone and at Sikeston last year or this year....Dennis still owns it too

The Pinto was built by Gene ....... (forget his last name, shop was in south county). He back halfed a friend of mines Chevy II. He was a Ford fan back then.

I used to work with Benny. He was a nut! I can't remember his last name though. Young or something like that? Does anyone know if he is still around?

Awwwwwwwwww fruit, ;D, how can you not remember Bennys name, Hoffman, Bennies been gone for probably 10 years or so, I believe liver failure was the cause.
