Court starts at 8:30 a.m., but it could go quick or slow, you never know how fast the judge wants to get things done.

I was hoping for evening. I can't make that early time. I would miss the whole day of work. If I happen to be off I will be there.

Hey everybody, I finally have a new article up. Ronnie's lawyer is fighting back! Ronnie, thank you so much for waiting and letting me bring that info out into the public! He called me quite some time ago to tell me but between various illnesses and then my dog biting my 3 year old in the face and losing a whole day to the ER (5 stitches total, not a big deal at all, and it was my son's fault totally), I got behind with work, and this was a long story and took some time to write. I have posted a copy of the Motion to Dismiss filed by MARP. There are other documents, but this is the key one. I am also a paralegal, and I explained what is going in the article in layman's terms as best I can. If you have any questions about what I've written, email me at editor@montgomeryandme.com. I am NOT a lawyer so I can't answer any questions like "Do I think Ronnie will win"(that is the crime of "Practicing Law Without A License" or "Unlicensed Practice of Law") but I can answer questions on the legal process and how it works. Because it is a lengthy article some of you may want not want to read the whole thing. I see that some people are planning to come for the hearing, maybe some from several hours away. Warning: a decision may not be made on this day at all. The County Commission's lawyer filed a Motion to Dismiss as well a few days ago and I don't have that yet. There is a possibility that the judge will look at all the information presented by both MARP and the Commission and decide he needs time to review it all in detail and "take it under advisement", which means he won't rule until another day. That is not to say this is what will happen. He might look at MARP's Motion to Dismiss and the Commission's Motion to Dismiss and immediately agree and throw the whole thing out. But I just wanted to warn anyone that is planning on coming that there is that possibility that nothing will be decided. I also spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Ronnie recently and have an update on where MARP is with construction, equipment, etc. I have some other articles I need to write first, but let me just say to those who think "nothing is going on" that is not the case. There's a lot more to building a track than pouring concrete or excavating and there is definitely some activity going on. I will do that as soon as I can but it may be a day or two. Here is the newest article. Please note that MontgomeryAndMe.com does not exist anymore. My boss started CountyNewsLIVE.com which is Hermann, MO a few years ago, then did Montgomery, and now we do Troy as well. Rather than having a bunch of different names for each site, he decided to keep them all the same. MontgomeryAndMe will just redirect to the new site. If you want to see the other sites, go to www.CountyNewsLIVE.com and it will give you links. montgomery.countynewslive.com/?q=content/attorney-mid-america-raceway-park-petition-seeking-prevent-drag-strip-incorrect-must-be-dismHave a great weekend everyone!
