well when we all go to 'visit' the big events, sure we all want to see the 'big boys' run , no dout!! everyone likes the force show, its entertaining, but it overly doen , there is other racers at these shows that deserve thier time in the spotlight too, the issue with t stop cars is noone knows what the heck there are trying to do, why is that car stopped right after it leaves? then goes like a bat out of hell, . we love to see wheels up, race to the finish, all the way, but to get back to the track issues at hand, , when the crops comes off i guess we will see action and dirt moved , ? shouldnt be any hendrence of the power lines , and that was the earlier reason of non passage thru the pz members so one would think that it all but done deal,

I don't think people leaving the seats has anything to do with throttle stops. Most people that attend a national event are there to see 300mph nitro burning cars. They have no interest in a 160mph 8.90 dragster or a 140 mph doorcar. I agree

I have a question about the financing of MAR PARK. Is the funding available are has a loan been approved? I keep hearing from my neighbor that he knows a a guy that has been going to the meetings and he is saying that there is no money for this project. I keep telling him that Ronnie would not be fighting for this track unless the money was available. Can some one put this ugly rumor to rest.

How much is YOUR house payment? How did you finance your business? How did you pay for your Race car? IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS!!!! MAR Parks finances are none of yours or mine. They said they will build the track upon P&Z approval and I take them at their word. This is part of the reason news about this project comes slow and scattered the people who are members here take this more personally than they have a right to. I am as interested as you are in this but it is not my right to know their financial position or how they pay for this anymore than I have the right to know how you are going to pay YOUR obligations.

I have gone to all the meetings and I heard no expressions pro or con regarding financing. Keep the faith either it will happen or it won't.

Pro Mods are one of my favorite classes. The cars don't look like cookie cutter Pro Stocks. What a lot of racers won't admit is that the super comp, gas, street classes are simply filler for the big guys. If people were there to see them, they would be there every Saturday night. They are not. They want to see the big names. Too many people are the "Fast and Furious" crowd. "I saw a movie where a guy had a 9 second Honda Civic. Why does that dragster with the big engine and headers only run 8's"? Go to a stock car event. People want to sit at the finish line. they want to see who wins. Go to the drags and they sit at the starting line. They want to look at cars, see burnouts and wheel stands. They don't care how close the finish is. I've always said, spectators will sit at the starting line, racers will sit at the finish line to watch.

If you ever get a chance to go to Norwalk, OH. you'll find they have grandstands just past the finishline tilted to look back uptrack, and they are always packed at an event! It gives you a completely different perspective of the race, and the speed of the cars as they cross the stripe.
