All I see is alot of smoke. For 1 I did some checking and there sure is some that are not being truthful with you all - wow a ground breakng - it was more like passing wind - Is there the financial backing to build this track - NO - Guys in this economy no lender in there right mind will loan on this investment. So stop blowin smoke up our arses - I see many here that have faster mouths then cars. I sure hope not to many get suckered out of any $$$ . Look give it up gateway is back, they have the upper hand and MID AMERICA SMOKE SCREEN if build would starve. To many Obama voters involved here. Attachments:

Welcome to MAR mr buzzkill!!! How could this be a buzzkill ?Most have followed this from the start of this FORUM and Eolia from last Sept to this Sept now at New Florence . With K.C closed now and GMP reopening ,mixed emotions all across the state .  11 weeks till GMP starts racing .  Maybe MARP will break ground this Summer and be ready 2013 .  |

Ground breaking - naw maybe breaking wind - let me ask you all how can you break ground when you don't have the required permits or the legal go ahead. they say they have purchased some equipment from k.c. now here is a good 1 race tracks don,t own ambulances duh they contract for medical suport - this I know for a fact - emts are highly trained and licensed. Its ashame you all beleive these clowns p.s. I have some bridges for sale maybe 1 of those can be converted into a drag strip

Must be a freakin Tea Bagger.. And what the hell does who anyone votes for have anything to do with building this track.. First off YES they do own their own ambulance, Mid State (CID), the old MAR, Coles County, Sikeston and Benton all own their own ambulances. What they contract out is the people that work in those ambulances, you see they hire EMT's to stay with the vehicle while the races are going on. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than contracting an ambulance service to sit there all day in case something does happen. Why pay $200-300 an hour when you pay some off duty EMT's a couple hundred a day. And second yes they did have all the proper permits to do what they wanted to and from what I've seen yes they do have the financing. The issue is that the bank wants all this legal BS behind them prior to them opening the vault so they can begin construction. Ronnie, Steve and Dave have all done what they were supposed to do in order to open this place up, they went to the P&Z commission and had the property rezoned from agricultural to Conditional usage, the problem is that a few weekenders are upset because the race track is being built in their front yard. So before you get on here and open your flap about what is and isn't being done I suggest that you do a little research and check your facts first... Oh wait you're a Tea Bagger you don't check anything before you make accusations.. |

As far as MAR failing because of gateway reopening that won't happen!At one time there was 5 dragstrips in a short driving time,as you probably remember! Yes everything is in place so when all this legal stuff is finished we WILL begin the full on construction! we just won't open in march like we were shooting for.It will be this year,2012

Support really doesn't have a lot to do with anything on here at all. Simple fact is you guys are trying to do something that no one else seems to have the balls to want to try. Whether you believe that it will be built or not isn't something that anyone needs to hear, if you don't think it will happen then don't log on here and post all your negative bullshit to try to stir something up. I have an idea who this guy is and he was on here a while back stirring the same crap up under a different screen name. If you don't think these guys are doing more than they should get off your ass and get involved or shut the F*#K up. Race tracks are dying all over the country and new ones aren't going up as fast as they are coming down. So whether I or anyone else thinks this will happen isn't really our concern at all. If someone has a problem with all this then don't come to it when it opens. But no one wants to hear your dribble about whatever. |
