I live in Montgomery county and just talked to planning and zoning.(4-26-11) Since i live in the county she said that would be a good help to show up and let my voice be heard. My brother has land that is almost neighboring the property, and i will get him to show up also to show his support. IF anyone else lives in Montgomery county come to the meeting on May 17 and let your support be known! They want to hear your opinions more than anyones! Absolutely no-one is opposing it at this point, but you never know who will show up.
The meeting will be at 7:00 sharp in the commisioners room at the courthouse. It will be standing room only. If you live in the county , get there early to get seated towards the front.
I know a couple people on p&z and they both support it, so it is looking good.

Since you live in the area did anyone complain about the dirt track? And do you think the local residents will come to spectate and race? I live in Washington Mo. I know a lot of people that don't race looking forward to something close to go and spectate. There isn't any motor sports locally on a regular basis other than county fairs.

I have heard that there was only 1 guy (count em-1) that ever opposed the circle track. That track was filled to capacity every night i was there, and i was normally coming in from Gateway on the weekends around 10:00 and always saw the bleachers and parking at their maximum limit. A dragstrip would be one of the greatest things to get in Montgomery County, as there are hardly any more forms of entertainment.- Especially motorsports
