Is the county fighting it? I hope not. I just drove 750 miles one way to pick up a car. ON a hope that the track would open. If not I am going to be doing a lot of travel to race.

If the town can make money it won't be a problem and if you was to have one big event ADRL or NHRA or any other big crowd draw the town will be shocked on the money they can make. And if they support the track I hope they make a ton of money.

I dont see why a county wouldnt want it. Especially if they are planning on putting it where I have heard they are wanting it. THere is really nothing around to bother with noise and things like that. Lets hope all goes well in the meeting. Im going to try my best to make it there.

All indications from the area have been VERY positive, however as Willy said, it is just a step in the process to have the p&z meeting. The area should work nicely and the county will benefit from it as well when the events start taking place. See everyone at the meeting!

Hello all, I am new to the board and don't have time for a lenghty response but.... I am excited about this project and would love to see it come to fruition. I am very familiar with the Montgomery County area. I can gaurantee one weekend a year profitable for the track as the folks that come to my event would jump at the chance to have drags. As a matter of fact, it will help me attract an entire new segment of attendees that would normally only come out if the event included some sort of track time. My event website is www.shelbyfest.net for those that are curious to know more. I am poised and ready to make an announcement once it all goes through so, everyone please keep me posted. I will do my part to ensure the success of the track and keep it open. Very excited, Kyle
