Randy Dickherber is one of my Cousin's. He was a little Squirelly at times, BUT he new his FORD's. Before he did cars we were into Bike's and he was CRAZY. We had Honda 750's and Triumph's and the likes back in the early 70's. We would hit 125-130 on I-70,CRAZY speed for 2 wheels and no protection other than a helmet. Give me a Race Car any day. We have two and can't wait to get out and run. Looks like We will hit INDY for the NHRA Divisional Race last week of Aprill. Hang in there guy's. RONNIE IS GETTING REAL CLOSE TO BEING ABLE TO MAKE THAT ANNOUNCEMENT.

I hope there are some friendly people on here that can help a old guy get his truck set up correctly.
My son and I have just about completed a 1991 S10 with a 383 stroker motor. I am using a set of Caltrac with drag shocks front and rear. Motor has 12.5 to 1 compression with 6" H beam rods. It also has a Forged Eagle crank and a solid roller 4 7 swap cam and a Quick Fuel Q 750 double pumper carb. I have not raced since the old MAR track was open, and only a couple of time with a different vehicle. My son will do most of the driving but I would like to get back in the seat once in a while. I live in Wentzville Mo so I hope this new track will be close by.

Bruces, since the s10 base is nothing new, I'm sure there is someone that has some [been there, done that] information that can save you some time and steps with your setup. My biggest fear once I got my VW chasis set up was, can I stop it?

Thanks for the info, I install a 8.8 rear end out of a Ford Explorer. It already had the rear disk brakes and 4.10 gears. I did have to have it narrowed so I bought some Strange 31 spline axles and had the Ford 9" end plates installed to get rid of the C clip. I need a windshield, drive shaft made and some wiring to finish. I was able to start it for the first time last we for a couple of minutes but had a oil leak. I now have that fixed and need to get the valves adjusted. Come on Ronnie make that announcement.
