Just wondering if anyone has tried to go back to the old track to see what's left. I know a subdivision was being built but on Google Maps you can still see part of the track, especially the road course portion but I don't know how old the satellite view picture is.

That's too bad. It would've been cool if they used the old track as part of the roads, streets in the subdivision.

Before they totally destroyed it. I went there after hours and hauled off some of the starting line. Concrete, rubber and all. Made a plaque for my sons birthday with the concrete and other mementos for him to look back on. Had a whole bin of the concrete left over but cleaned out the shop.

my son and a few other racers seen a ghost when they was going down the track ,when they raced,i dont know how true it was,i know kids sometimes can see things we cant,did someone every die at that race track

I cant remember there names but a family died of CO posioning while sleeping in there trailer, they had a camaro and a geo they raced. |

anyone out there take any pics of the track coming apart??? taking down the cross walk?? Ronnie removing the tower etc??
last time i was by there i had a hard time telling what was what...sadly..u cant tell it was ever even there. i wonder if any of the road coarse is still left in the woods???

I heard they had to stop building houses because some of the ground was so saturated with oil, trans. fluid, etc.  |
