part of the old road course is still there behind the sudivision Can you still get to it? It would be cool to get back and take some pics of what's left.

you can get to it with a 4 wheeler. there is a gate that stops you getting to it by car. not much left except asphalt and weeds. it is not part of the subdivision and is probably still owned by veighe. we ended up on it by accident on the 4 wheeler.

I'm in the same boat as Falfa. I'd like to do some exploring just for curiosity sake but I'm not really interested in getting involved with the law.

We went out there in September to see if anything was left and took some pics. Here's what we saw. Do a google satellite map search of Valley Bluff Dr. Wentzville MO to get an idea of where the track was compared to the subdivision. This is the direction of where the track was, roughly looking in the area where the starting line should have been. There are more pics at s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr72/SNK-EYZ/MAR%202010/

Very interesting and kinda a shame at the same time. To think of all the names that raced there, names like Garlits, Andretti, Newman, etc. and now it's no more than a weeded over field and subdivision. Thanks for sharing the pics/link!

Amazing how nothing is recognizable. Makes you wonder what the developer was thinking about when it was bought it....."Let's see how much Americana we can destroy in the name of progress."
