My car weight is 3030. I ran a turbo 400 and switched to a glide. Quarter. Mile times almost identical. 9.00 152.00 mph 5.72 in the 1/8 with turbo ran 5.80 with the glide. Quarters the same 1/8 slowed. So did rpm and 60'. I will never go back to a turbo. If I wanted I could put 4.56 back in the car and it would pick up. Not while the 4.29 are still good

Put it on the main line pressure tap and see what it does. Should be in the 180-225# range. Apply the trans brake and there should be a momentary pressure drop but then it should come right back up. Do it at idle then at a little higher RPM. Sounds like it may be a pump issue or something may be stuck in your pressure regulator.

Thanks sg3526 for the response. It was very helpful. I think, as of this past Sunday, I shattered my bell housing and now forced to use my new glide. The car now weighs 3250 with me in it. If the rule of weight is 3000, I'm going to have to get below that somehow. My question now is, will I have to change the yoke or have a new drive shaft built?

If you had a 350 Turbo in it you have to change nothing as far as the driveshaft or the Tranny mount. You will need to do something with the shifter but if you have a Quarter Stick in it Hurst makes a piece to convert from 3 speed to the Glide. It's a little grommet. If you don'thave it can't find it give me a call I think I may have one laying around.

The 3250 isn't the end of the world as long as you have good pieces in it.

What I just shattered was a 400 turbo with a B&M Rachet shifter in it. What do I need to convert to a glide? Do you have any 350's already built with a transbrake on it ready for purchase?

No 350's laying around. Everyone wants a glide and I can build a Glide much cheaper than I can a 350 Turbo. You don't know Mark Knitting do you?
