Hey Hey, New member here.

I just got a MAR Park Raceway schedule.
Saw there was a website & forum, so I jumped on here sweet!
Can't wait for the track to open I live just 30mins down the road.
I haven't drag raced since Wentzville was open.
I only got to race the last year it was open, haven't raced since.
I was 18 and had a 93' Mustang 5.0; it's long gone now.

I bought this in November 2011 and brought it back to LIFE!
I did a 4-month rebuild on it and loved every min.

I just got it on the road last weekend.
It's going to be a fun bike, on and off the track.
But…
I have never raced a motorcycle. I can't wait!
Been riding motorcycles for about 10 years now.

Old style, looks great! Are you going to get a set of rear-sets for it? They'll make it a lot easier to get a tuck with the clip-ons and the solo seat.

I will have to check out that website.

I've been trying to look up everything I will need for Drag Racing this bike at MAR.
I think just a helmet, jacket and gloves?
After researching, looks like when it was new and bone stock in 1978 it would run a 12.7 in the 1/4 mile.

I've lost some weight from the stock bike weight,
Added a jet kit and air pods with 4 into 1 exhaust kit.
Also I'm going to have a set of Wheelie bars on it.
I'm hoping to break into the mid 11's with it. (My goal right now.)

Not a real fast bike, but good for me right now.
I'm sure I will want something faster later.
