Must be NO modifications what so ever , no grinding ,no drilling done or rub marks on the shield if there is, it will not be recert! normal cost is @75$? plus shipping!

I sold my old one to some stock car guys. They said the dates didn't matter to them. I put that money towards a new one.

It depends on the mfr. I sent one to TCI and they recert for $25 or $35 my other car has a Hughes Shield and no recert offered. Just one to add to my do not buy list.

I am trying to get my daughters Jr dragster ready and was wondering if anyone knows if the rollbar padding needs to be SFI approved. The rule book just says at least 1/4 inch compression or more. Would like to know prior to ordering. Any help appreciated. This my first stab at a Jr and am pretty green on the subject. Am used to working on my FED. Thanks Gary
