I've heard that George Ray's track is closed now. ain,t closed ,still going strong ,come on down At least that's some good news. A couple buddies had said that it was closing down permanently this last fall. It's good to hear they were wrong.  |

Am I missing something here ? I thought there was going to be a court Date ? The people(racers) around here are getting down they are saying well its the same old thing that it not going to happen and to tell the Truth they are starting to get me down with all the hype.What say you wizards of the keyboard build my confidence back up.Please

Ronnie met with the lawyers again yesterday and they are pushing to try and get a court date as soon as possible. As soon as we have a date we will let everyone know when it is and what they can do to help. One thing that was mentioned was a petition of people that are for the track that will be presented in court to show the support for the track. We are going to work on that as well and will let everyone know where they can meet to sign it. Ronnie is not giving up and we believe that it will all work out. They really dont have a case, but it will have to play out in the court. The lawyer is doing everything that they can to keep things moving along so we dont lose any more time than necessary. It is hard to stay positive sometimes, but have faith that we will prevail!!

Well we're not building a Mc Donalds , or a pizza parlor, nor are you building a 6 flags park!
for some reason it is different, why? It's perseption, that you will make all kinds of noise,, true, that some traffic will be more, yes , I think is great because traffic means people buying stuff, from your McDees, and pizza joints, buy fuel, It is a win win for that area! and a bigger win for us racers!
We need to stay positive that this adventure will come thru, It wont be easy by no means , and I'm sure there are other hurdles to get thru as well, but once the land is no longer the issue, then we can see the real ground break take place, with dozers instead of shovels!

Thanks for the positive words, I will pass it on to the locals racer both here in Boonville and Fayette, some were racers at KCIR for years and now with what is going on they are shaking there heads, As most of you know there has been attempts to building a track north of Columbia an others like the one over at sedalia that never made it as well. Most of the racers I know don't use the Internet so they rely on people like you and I to let them know what is going on, an I am running out of thing to say if you know what I mean, Real Drag Racers are a breed of there own, They want to go now,,, the sooner the better.. lol
