I believe this is my old car. Purchased from salvage pool 1970. Was originally orange SS car with black vinyl top. Had to buy front end and doors. Painted by Dave Godat. Ran at Alton, MAR, and St. Gen. 302 with two 600 Holly carbs. 4 speed. Old school Olds rear with 586 gear. Best time 10.98. Consistent 11 teen @126mph. Not great by today's standards, but not too bad for 40 years ago. Built and maintained by the late Jim Dudley,$$$ and driven by me, Bruce Maxey. Sold to a friend of the late Troy Smotherman of the old Specialty Speed Shop, in Florissant,Mo. Haven't seen it since. Maybe you could do some research. It may have been a 396. It was a pretty loaded car originally. Noticed hood sticker. At one time George Eagan had a prostock 1970 Camaro. He had a guy he called "fiberglass" Frank make the hood. Have fun. I'd like to see the car some time.
