well said Shawn. when it cost $100 or more to go to gateway a lot of people stay home...

that is why the ADRL drags are so good...you can afford it..well at least the entry fee.

yeah, or a $4 bottle of water when it's 100 degrees! you could almost by a weeks worth of groceries with what it costs to eat and park at gateway.

Or how about that $8.00 bag of ice?!?! We always pack a cooler and bring our own food. Their prices are outrageous. From what we've seen, prices at MAR Park will be more like the old MAR.

i hope the concession stands have "hockey pucks" again. thats what me and my freinds used to call those breakfast sandwiches egg sausage bacon cheese biscuit. one of those would stay with you till well into lunch hour. that and sun tea. i remember seeing dozens of tea jars brewing in the sun next to the concession stand every time i went.

It never cost 100 to get into gateway?? I run 2 classes each week and its 120. There is little or no profit in weekly racing. That is why all of them are closing. I hope the new track comes to be. I miss MAR and will miss Gateway unless someone buys it, it will be gone also!!

i didnt say that i cost $100 to get in..i ment by the time you pay the entry fee and then pay to park and then eat lunch you've dumped a $100. yes this is mostly at special events and not the weeky events. i am speaking for the spectators.
