Sounds like NHRA and ADRL is going to get a big shake-up. Big problems brewing in the whole Al-Anabi racing organization. Compitition Plus and Drag Racing Online have articles that are just scratching the surface. Of course this could be nothing, time will tell.

Yeah, I heard the Shiek was upset about the way the whole Bin Laden thing was handled. Heard that he was going to pull all of his money out of everything state side any way. That means McAmis Race Cars, ADRL, AJR, NHRA could all be seeing a lot fewer cars on the track.

nothin to do with bin laden,! all do do with the polictal uprising in the egption world, and sure there is a red tape involved with what money goes to what ' faction' in the middle east, the A D R L has been in trouble for awhile ,and had he not stepped in, it would have folded long time ago, the I H R A is also big trouble as well, alltho it has seen it influence from al anabi as well no matter how deep someones 'pockets' are , no one person can save all of motorsports, i guess we will all see how this all shakes out as this year progress, i'll keep putting my car together as much and as fast as i can and race where i can

I bet the local race car shops that he pumped a TON of money into care. I bet any tracks that he or his teams rented for testing care. I bet the pro teams he threw money at care. I bet the American company that takes care of his track over there cares.

Oh yes, yellowbullet is the most trusted news source. I hear CNN, FOX and MSN consult them all the time.
I gave up after about 6 pages. Looks like a buch of opinion. No quotes from anybody that knows whay's really going on.
People complained when he spent money in racing and now they will complain he doesn't. He helped a lot of racers, teams and builders over the past few years.

Re: The location of the drag strip « Result #20 on Oct 6, 2010, 9:43pm » what about speaking with the other race car builders in the area? Tim McAmis Jerry Haas RJ Race Cars (Quarter Max) in Galesburg Ill i am sure that there are others....what about the ADRL or Al-Anabi?? worth a shot anyways? Looks like you wouldn't have minded a little of his money being spent at MAR.

Wow! all the way from October of last year, im impressed. but really let it rest, last time i checked it was still ok to have your own opinion, im not bashing you because you are pro al anabi. that is great if you are but i am not and that is ok as well. on my post from october, that money wasnt for me or my bank account or my race car it was merely a suggestion to the builders of MAR park. if he would of given them money then that would have been great and yes i would have still raced at the track ...but that doesnt mean that i would have to like al anabi racing. im sure that we all encounter people everyday that we dont care for..but we still continue to do our thing.. with that being said in the end you are upset about this whole al anabi thing and i am not. drag racing will continue. peace
