I believe that a new location is needed,start the process all over again!MAR LLC needs to start with its own land.Maybe it can purchase the original plot maybe not.I have seen many of my dreams circle the bowl and go down in the last few years,this is One I am not willing to give up on!A safe place to race,close to home,enriches all of our lives.Ronnies dream is my dream and I am not letting go of this One just yet.

This has gone the way of the JUNCTION PROJECT north of Columbia. Carl Edwards tried to get that deal done using private investors and no one has heard anything about that place in 5 years. Racing just isn't the type of commodity that people are willing to invest their money in unless they have a gaurantee that there will be some type of return on their investment. The only way to do that is to say that there will be big time sanctioned races there say like a NHRA National type event. And having just atteneded the St. Louis race I don't see NHRA giving away another National event in the Midwest. I mean you have the race in Topeka in May and the St. Louis race in September you WONT get one in New Florence, they just dont have the infa structure to sustain an event of that size. All of this being said I really thought that these guys may have had a chance to pull this off, I mean to put a facility like what they had planned right next to major highway was great. It would have been great to have something that was that easy to get to and be that close. These guys need to stop trying to get money from the racers and maybe go look at corporate america (Oh wait, John Force was just crapped on by corporate america, nevermind.)

The Junction Project made the news again a few years ago. One of the guys involved was brought up on criminal charges for spending the money on himself...... Never did hear what happend with that. I would have loved for this track to be built, but a guess its not to be. Looks like NHRA got tired of waiting as well. guess Ill start hiting Gateway again.

Heard K.C cant even be a park now due to contamination of soil so Mccaskill and the Kempers have really a quiet place now. |

Well it looks like ALL DRAG RACERS that VOTE should remember CLAIRE McCASSKILL NEXT ELECTION and make SURE SHE IS NOT RE-ELECTED. She comes off on the Government Shutdown as she is against it, H*ll she was Part Of It. I know I will NOT VOTE for anybody that is IN OFFICE NOW, They all need to GO and Start all OVER with NEW PEOPLE that are not on the TAKE FROM THE CORPORATE WORLD.

Progress is still going forward and we will be haveing a meeting soon with the progress that we have made the past weeks. So what's the point of another meeting? Just tell us the truth is all we ask. If you don't have or can't get the financing then tell us exactly that. Why do you insist on dragging this whole process out? Either tell us that you're having the earthmovers coming in to move some dirt or you're broke and this is never going to happen. It's an A-B situation.

megamerc, lol!!!! progress is still going forward? have you seen the field lately. there hasnt been any progress since the ground breaking ceromony a few years ago. progress is when something actually happens. sure dont know what a meeting would before other than to discuss what crops to grow next year !!!! |
