MARPark is going to happen regardless of what happens with Gateway. In fact, those involved with MARPark hope that Gateway does reopen. The plans began before anybody knew of the problems with Gateway, and will continue no matter what happens. There are more than enough racers in the area to support multiple tracks. There was more than one track around here for a lot of years and hopefully will be again soon!

We all knew the problems of GIR when Dover took over .Cut the payouts ,prorate the purses ,no racing banquet,
had at least 4 managers ,jack the parking spot prices up and reduced the number of bracket races ,no support for the Jr program .
But its still the nicest qtr track within ::)250 miles .

Maybe GIR ,MARP should be like MEMPHIS not open or reopen for a year .

If and when it happens you better worship the ground its on to have a 2nd chance again .
2 tracks would be great again.
Now where is MARP being built this time ? I know where GIR is at .

It's amazing how some people feel the need to only post negative comments about the plans of building the MARPark track.

Do they join up here just to bash the idea?

It's a massive undertaking to build a project like this.
There will always be problems, setbacks and there are lots of risks.

It accomplishes nothing being negative about the project.

I'd rather stay positive and hope that soon there will be somewhere local to race.
With luck there will be two places.

That is what I dont understand either. EVERY rumor about Gateway they come on hear practically giddy and tell how this is going to happen like it is fact, but everything about MARPark is all just hopes and "fantasyland". I hope we have 2 facilities to race at again soon. I just wish all the MAR bashers would go back to Gateways website.......oh wait.....they dont have one!!
