The property in question is NOT the old Montgomery County Speedway, or the property across Hwy. 19 from it. The property is located at 620 Tree Farm Rd. (the Outer Road, I believe), between Danville exit and New Florence exit. For approval, they need the P&Z Commission to approve it with 65% of 9 members. (They will probably vote on it on May 17th, but not guaranteed) IF P&Z approves it, it then goes to the County Commission (no earlier than May 19th). The County will then have up to 10 days to post their findings/decisions. The meeting on May 17th is an open hearing, with anyone allowed to support/oppose, and the P&Z members will ask questions based upon whatever has been proposed by that date. We drove out that way on our car club car Cruise .Saw the circle track on east side of 19 went west on south outer road to RB road conservation rd at mile marker 174 on hwy 70 .Were we close  ?. 70 miles back to airport  |

yea im waiting for a sign out that says future home of mar park,this would be a good day for bracket racing,even though its moters day,have a good mothers day out there to all,and remembers your mothers,we wouldnt be here without them

I believe if memory serves me right there is or was somesort of nursery at that location and if so it is just east of the speed way on south outer rd.

There is a nursery just east of the old speedway, however the new track location is west of there on the south service road. If you go by the area it is located right where the powerlines cross over the highway about a mile west of hwy 19. |

I saw 1 home along that area at outer road . Break ground and the band wagon will fill up. |

I'm familiar with that place too, even better place than nursery spot, better access nicer grade I was just north of Montgomery City Sunday afternoon visiting and folks up there seem to be very positive about the project I asked them to show at the meeting on the 17th. and they assured me that they would.

hay I just heard about this deal, sounds good to me and new florance is only 73 miles form me , the closer the better with the price of gas now days.

Just signed up. I am very excited about this track. Living in Columbia, gateway or KC was a good haul to race as a hobby. I am looking forward to having a track closer and maybe do a little more racing.
Pending aproval, how long will this track take to build? still planning any racing this season?

so...is there an overhead power line issue or something? Well as far as anyone here knows the meeting is still on, so there must not be an issue. Or do you think that somebody over on the bullet was starting some rumor as it was a the guys first post over there and he hasnt responded. |
