Yeah he unfortunately passed away earlier this year or late last year. So I guess the family doesn't want to run it anymore. Damn Shame

I did a search and found out, George ran the track for 49 years. After he passed, they kept it open last year for the 50th anniversary. Now the family is going to sell it. What a shame! There is some really cool history out there about George and his track.
Ok then! Who out ran a z06 in the 1/4 at Gateway with an air cooled 4 banger beetle for his first run with slicks?

Ohhhhh yea! ;D It was 2009. Looking through the 8" windshield with a 5" tach in the way, full face helmet, and window net. I had no idea it was going to slingshot like it did with an open rear end. But it made my day! Can't wait to get a trans. with a spool in it so we can turn up the power. Should be one hell of a ride.

Same here hemiman, We were going to go last year but life got in the way. Now I wish I had gone anyway. If they keep it open, I will be there this year for sure.

Prescott sold the Underdog car in 08-09 I believe and now runs a 1960 sedan up in Union Grove Wisconson. I don't know where his old car went. Ron Woods [Backdraft] yellow promod car with blue flames is for sale right now in Springfield Mo.
Sure would be nice to see some of these old cars and some new ones start showing up at a new Missouri track.

Thanks for the info Chally! I was wondering where it ended up.
