I have almost $100 in t shirts that are false advertisement, much less the time off work and fuel expense to go to the meetings. I attended all P&Z meetings. And who ever said I didnt want this track to happen. I do just as much as the next guy. Im just more of realist and see the writing isnt very good right now. Things may change. Ill be glad to make a pass at the track and as far as my name. ITs ADAM PENNING. Im from Hermann, MO. NOw that being said you wanna no any thing else personal? Lets see you post your name. Adam has every right to say what he thinks. He said nothing "negative" about the track other then the fact that its a little ridiculous that we have stuck our necks out there to get something going and here we are not going anywhere but idle, with a sign in front of the lot that says open in 2012 for gods sake. What a joke. Don't get me wrong I would kill to have this track open at my hometown junction, but when you see things like that it just makes you wonder how committed people are compared to how committed their mouths are. If this has to go through planning and zoning again, don't expect an mar park. He could get 100 g's in sponsors in a matter of hours, so I don't see money being any issue. Been wanting to get that off my chest for a while; rant over, hopefully something will happen soon to change my views, but as of now by looking at the ground, don't really see an effort.

It takes about $1.5 million minimum to build a good track these days so $100k is only a small deposit on the total cost.

that's what I've been saying. hasn't paid the lawyers yet the last I heard. Havnt heard anything different. they couldn't of been more than 100 grand. but we gonna put up a million dollar facility.

we should know more this Wednesday (may 15) about the developers ability to move forward with this track. that is the day the second dismissal hearing from the attorneys lawsuit for breech of contract is scheduled. the original dismissal hearing scheduled for 3-20-13 was postponed for reason of settlement talks still ongoing. in my opinion people have a legitimate right to come on this website and be critical of mr moss,after all he is the one who went public and asked people to come to the ground breaking,to take time from work and family and attend the p&z hearings and courtroom proceedings and purchase shirts. I was one of these individuals,this took my time and money for fuel and meals and misc.expenses. I don't like to see people make personel or vulgar comments to or about mr moss,but if a post is about the facts only then in my opinion it is an appropriate time and place to do it.

If I said they can get 100 k in a matter of hours just from local business, what makes you think they can't get a million if they tried? Businesses are WILLING to sponsor but nobody's going to fork money up to watch it all go to hell. Business owners want to see something positive be done, and we've been hearing all this big announcement bull shit since day 1 |

All any of us can really do is wait and see.
Being negative and complaining isn't really going to accomplish anything.
Any project of this size isn't an easy task.
The government is involved, DNR, etc. and when have they ever made anything easy?
Banks are leery of loaning money on anything these days and from what I'd heard until the DNR (etc) are satisfied the money wasn't available.
I went to some of the P&Z meetings too.
You go to show your support and that's all.
You get nothing else from it other than the hope it gets built eventually.
When it's built you'll have a place that you can race.
If no one supported it being built it would never have passed.
Does it suck that it's taking longer than expected? Yes, obviously.
Is there anything that we can do about it? No.

Everyone on here knows who I am, well most of them and I welcome you the opportunity to line up against me anytime, I've had my ass handed to me on the track but the best of them. I have a little bit of cash tied up going to meetings and dragging my junk to car shows. My point was that neither you or I have any money involved in the actual cost of building the track other than buying t-shirts or gas money driving to where ever. I get tired of people getting on here and slamming Ronnie and Steve and Dave. These guys are trying to do something that will be for our enjoyment, why blast them? If you are pissed because you wasted a few nights going to some meetings or spent some money on gas, I'm not sure what will make you happy short of Ronnie getting on here and telling you all that it was just a pipe dream, I would hate to see the backlash of that. Sit back and wait like everyone else and if it doesn't happen well you will have some t-shirts to look at and say what the hell was I thinking? |

maybe one of the principles in the venture would want to come on the site and relate what happened at the court hearing which was to be a 12 noon today on the suit brought by the attorneys for breech of contact. it will appear on mo. case net but usually takes a couple of days to catch up.
