There has never been enough cars in the heads up class's to pay anything more than 250 bucks. maybe 20 to a class 1100 1200 class We can ask those on here what they won on there winning heads up class . You know who won almost all the time 10,11,12 class's a :oBRACKET RACER. Ill play dumber than normal . If I run 10.50 what class do I run ?Do I run 11.00class lift and drive the strip? If I give up 50 or find 50 i'm screwed on either end . The class's were so small the 3to 4 time runs ,became 6 to7 time runs . Even when the program could have finished earlier after the proper time runs they stretch the program out to make it finish about the time projected to finish . Watch the you tube vids and then look in the stands it says it all.

We had a lot of fun in the 11.0 class. I'd like to see a bracket class for the cars that don't fit the index classes.

Dennis you sure like the heads up class's for a car they don't let race it for the past 3 years . Have you ever said this outloud LOL I understand being with dad and family having fun. Tell us what Dad and Dusty won on the events . These won also Steve P Dennis P Paul H Aaron H Jason P Janie P I know if they won the 8 races series they won tires. John that being great also ,but does it pay the overhead for GIR ,I doubt it . Dennis G could input on that . SCSS was a bigger joke .

So ... What are you trying to get at? just read the posts ^^^^^ not really too much different then just bracket racing....boring in the eyes of a spectator. as much fun as it is for us racers...it isnt gonna pay the bills. as a spectator i wanna see something fast, wheels up, close drag races. the big events ADRL, super chevy, fun ford, nhra, will draw the big crowds.

I ran the 12.0 class and if I remember correctly the entry fee was $25 (cheap) and $20 went to the track and $5 went into a pot that was split between the winner and runner up 70%/30%. I think the most cars we had in the class at any event was 22. The class champion did get a pair of tires from Mickey Thompson.

Then what they need is a 7.00, 7.50, and a 8.0 heads up no throttle stop classes. 7.0 Pro is getting to be a big thing with IHRA, cars running near 200 mph at the stripe.
