For those that say that the lawsuit against the County Commission is going to stop the construction of Mid America Raceway Park - as I have said numerous times, and as Ronnie and all other staff have also said, just because construction is not going on yet does NOT mean everything has come to a standstill. A lot of behind-the-scenes activity has taken place.

On Thurs., Feb. 16 Ronnie gave me a tour of some of the track equipment MARP has bought so far. Since I know absolutely nothing about drag racing (hey, I'm a writer, not a race fan... when the track is built this will change I bet!) I video taped Ronnie and let him do all the talking.



Ronnie also told me that at the site there is: the scale, track drag, spectator crowd control fence, and conduits. I haven't had a chance to get pics of that stuff yet, but I imagine y'all know what it is anyway.

I also took still photos of the equipment he showed me, and I also have pictures of the KCIR auction that Jordan Stahlschmidt took for me. Ronnie wrote about the auction in this thread marpark.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=403.

Bud, its my back again. Had one surgury Nov. 2, Now have to have screws and rods put in back. Be put out of racing this season but am working on a Jr my youngest daughter will drive this year. so at least will be at track just not in my car. That sucks but what do ya do!!!!!

Good move on going ahead with things it will force the opposing sides hand on any other B.S. law suit to try and stop things Im sure it will speed things up

Good evening every one. We do have some news, yes M.A.R. Park and the Montgomery County Commissioner's are going to trial on April 23ed at 9:00 a.m. The second floor is were the courtroom is. WE WILL NOT BE THERE ON APRIL THE 11Th. Thank you so much for your support!!! We will get all this court stuff behinds us soon. And we will start getting thing's done so we can enjoy some good racing this year! And yes I did take my to youngest girls over to Gateway and Shawna got to make some passes in the comet for the very first time. That is the first time she has ever drove the comet! She really did good. Her slowest pass was her first 12.77 @ 108mph best was 9.98 @ 136mph with a .000 LIGHT !! Foot brake too! That also was her very first time down the track too. Also we are picking up the score boards the weekend of the 14Th and 15Th of April. Have a GREAT EASTER SUNDAY. Ronnie Track Manager
