Midstate goes IHRA!!!!!!

Midstate is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement with IHRA for the 2011 season. We are confident you will be very happy with the fresh change and outlook this will bring in the future.
We are looking at a date in the very near future for a track meeting to dicuss and address all questions you may have. Our division 5 director Jon O'Neal will be on hand from the Norwalk headquarters to answer any questions that I might not be able to answer.

A few questions that have come up from our racers:

I have just renewed my NHRA chassis certification. Will I have to buy an IHRA tag?
** No, IHRA will honor you NHRA certification and license until they expire. All we ask is you recert with an IHRA tag after that. This fee is only 75.00! To become a member and get a competition license with IHRA is only 60.00

What is the ET break for IHRA before needing chassis certification?
** 6.00 or faster. Or 9.00 in 1/4, Not 9.99.

Will the insurance change?
** No, we are required to carry the same amount of insurance and they deal with the same providers. IHRA also carries excess medical coverage. It is an umbrella policy and works like NHRA. 100,000 locally and 250,000 national and divisional.

Do they have an ET bracket finals?
** Yes! It is call the IHRA Thunder SUMMIT Team Finals. It moves around from track to track! This year it will be in Martin,MI.

How does it work?
** The same as before only you are allowed to take 50 members, you must run the track at least 4 times and we start at the top of the points lists. JR DRAGSTERS also get to run the SAME weekend and TALLY points for the team!!

What does it pay to win?
** Top Elim. or Box 2000 & iron man and silver card
RU 1000
semis 400
6th rnd loser 125
5th rnd loser 100
4th rnd loser 75
3rd rnd loser 50

Modified Elim. or No Box- PAYS THE SAME!

Street winner 750, iron man and silver card,
RU 300
semis 125
qtrs 75
Motorcycle will be contested this year in the appropriate car
class
Jr Dragster Winner Iron man, a silver card ,and &500 svgs bond RU Trophy and $250 svgs bond
semis Trophy and $100 svgs bond
1/4s Trophy
** Plus contengencies**
There is also separate gamblers races Thurs 80% payback to qtrs, Friday 1500 to win, 80% from there to qtrs. ,with buy backs!
Sunday Gamblers race- no buybacks . Four races in one weekend!!

Do they have a Race of Champions??
** Yes. The Summit Superseries Runoff. Midstate may enter the Box Champion and the No Box Champion. It MUST be the TOP Points earner. No subsitutions. WINNERS of Box and NO Box at Martin, earn the right to go to the World Championship plus 1000.00 tow money to the World Finals held in Richmond, Virginia.
(There are 5 teams so far in Division 5, our division)
Jr Dragsters also have a race of champions they pays $200 savings bond and a trophy.

What if I win the ET National Championship?
** This is where it gets interesting... TO WIN:

Custom golf cart
Aruba vacation
Championship ring and gold card
RU
$7,000
semis $2,000
1/4's $1,000
** Plus contingencies**
This will be contested during Pro rounds AND televised on Speed Channel during the Pro telecast!


** IHRA also contributes $1000 towards your end of the year point fund!

Will our entry fees go up?
** No. If anything it will help us to be able to keep our payout more consistent. We will continue to be the same family race track we have been for the last 8 years. We thank IHRA for helping us to do this in these tough economic times

I find this all very strange. the last I heard the owner (JG) was being indicted for tax evasion. Was the place sold and to whom?

well it is going thru bankrupcy
that is true, jacksonville ill court document,
she still has her criminal ,legal issues as well
march 3 is the date for the track, unless another continuance
happens
i think what you will see is some money is comming into play soon, and someone else will run the track as she is moving to florida ,
but they can post schedule do everthing until that court is
settled , bank may still own it
the amount of monie asked for in judgement is well over 300.000
as for her criminal matters that is a diffrent story

They are suppose to post entry fees and payouts soon
they said it would be the same as last year,
depend on car count,
they where still working on that
she is now living in florida , so someone up here suppose to run
day to day on the track,
they have to get thru the bankrutcy first, hopeing that will get done??

effective as of todays date the above said auction has been terminated ,
the havana bank has had it debt settled,
also the bank of jacksonville has had its debts settled as well
now lets move on and lets get racing at the track with new ownership
