I hate to sound like a wet blanket but I'm a realist. If we all think this is going to be the old MAR a collective we will be dissapointed. We all remember thing better than they were and tend to gloss over the negative. It would not be fair to all the people that are trying to build the track to use our memory as a yard stick for the new track. Personalities and dynamics need to make the place its own and create new memories.

Is that Monte your car? Did you break your rear end at the starting line one time?

Yeh, I still have that car (along with others). No I have never broke on the track with that car. I do remember my battery coming out of the stock location 1 time and into my altenator., Didnt hurt too much Attachments:

The reason I asked is because my dad raced a Monte very similar to that one time and I remember being realy worried because my dad had this ugly twelve second car and here is this beautiful blown Monte. I was afraid he was going to get creamed, but that Monte never made it to the 60 ft line.

That could of been it. I always thought it was a rear end, but that doesn't mean it was. As a 12 year old kid I was pretty excited that my dad didn't get smoked.

Looking through these old pictures is too cool, you can almost hear "Radical" yelling "attention in the pits". I't going to be a long Winter and possibly Summer, so I hope you keep them posting. We have a fair amount of racing junk setting around waiting to make some new memories with at the new "MAR".

We have a fair amount of racing junk setting around waiting to make some new memories with at the new "MAR". I am doing no such thing. I was the track potographer and have these pic's for sell, if people want them. I loved the old track, but I have been on in or attatched to a race track from the age of 6, my Dad was track manager for Green Valley Race City. I love the sport, and love to share my work.
