two quotes to consider, 1. Pogo "We have meet the enemy and he is us" 2. Thomas Jefferson "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies."

I guess that will never change "buy American" doesn't mean much to most. the red tape put on by the feds makes our domestic product cost more with no restrictions overseas you can make things cheaper. Cost of living goes up wages go down.

My point is that NAPA sells CHINA made crap because we you us have said by our spending habits that we would rather have a lot of cheap CHINA made crap than less but better made items You always read about how great the Wal=Mart business philosophy is but I think that's BULLSHIT Wal-Mart was just earlier and better at exploiting America's desire for lots of cheap crap Did ya ever own a pair of Wally World socks? Let me rephrase that did ya ever own a pair of Wally World socks that lasted more than 10 wearings? I haven't but I own some high quality socks that cost three times as much that I have been wearing for 3 years! And they keep my feet warm also. The saying that you get what you pay for is true you pay cheap you get crap you pay decent you get decent It doesn't have to be American it just needs to be from a place that makes reasonable quality products with a little pride in their stuff and pay their people a competetive wage. Then maybe America can compete for our own business, as long as third world economies will let their citizens earn substandard wages with no benefits and we continue to purchase their products then we deserve to have no manufacturing jobs no full employment no decent benefits and we deserve to not have an improving standard of living. It makes not as much difference to me now because I am retired and not as dependent on wages but I will tell you I buy as little as possible from WallyMart and nothing from Harbor Freight and I do not buy anything I don't have to from third world economies and I don't feel any economic pain from doing so as I may pay a little more up front but I buy the replacements less often so it about evens out.

WAL-MART YOUR SOURCE FOR CHEAP CHINESE CRAP. People would rather buy some piece of crap for a few dollars less than buy a quality made product. Then they can't understand why it "doesn't" last as long as it used to and will go back and buy another piece of crap to replace the first one. I just don't get it.. My wife used to be an avid Wal-Marter, bought some jeans, I went to another store bought the exact same jeans and brought them home and put them on a digital scale.. The Wal-Mart jeans weighed 1.2 lbs less and you could physically feel the difference in the thickness of the material and she always wondered why they wore out so fast DUH!!! Vlasic pickles stood up to the cronies at Wal-Mart, they wanted Vlasic to sell them pickles in a bigger jar at the price they were selling the smaller jars if they wanted to sell in WAL-MART, they did it for a while but they started losing their ass and realized they were making more money before they were selling to Wal-Mart and weren't lowering their standards. Told Wally world that if they wanted to sell their pickles in their stores they were going to sell them in the same containers as everyone else did. No more 1 1/4 times the quantity for the single quantity price, if I buy pickles today guess which brand I buy.... VLASIC. Just because they had the balls to stand up to the retail king of crap...

Glad to see "GIR Leased set to re-open" Glad to see this on the MAR Park Site It's on here because until recently there wasn't much MAR news. At least not since the last "Ground Breaking" that was scheduled for last year. ;D Just yanking your chain. Now let's get the crops out and move some dirt. I wish I could be there for the ceremony. As for GIR it seems that we just have to wait for the gates to open. I hope to see you all at one or the other.
