It seems to me if the MO Highway Patrol can blow 5 an half Million bucks on a jet airplane to shuttle the state officials around ( which was not authorized ) they should at least finance a race facility to encourage those that would race on the street to a safe facility. seems as though this state has got there priority's screw up. I hope to make it to the meeting.

They have lost their financing, there is no money, they want the racers to buy stock in the place but not have any say as to what happens. They want the racers to build the place and they get total control. Why doesn't he go to Jerry Haas, John Taylor and that Litszinger guy to get them to finance it? Because they want to own 51% and don't want Ronnie in control and he's too stubborn to admit that he needs help. I stayed there and listened to there whole pitch and don't know anymore than when I walked in the place.

Investors want a majority share in it because of the progress( or lack of it) that has been made so far. They want to know their investment is sound and they have a say in it. Same goes for racers and fans "buying stock". Not gonna happen based on progress so far. As for investors, They can be bought out if provisions are in the agreement and the track is profitable enough to take out a loan to do so. Its obvious this track isnt going to happen without them, so you may as well entertain the offer.
Speaking of progress, shouldnt the construction permit have expired with work being idle for over 6 months?
Thinking back, maybe the second lawsuit was dropped because they heard there wasnt any money to build? And couldnt ronnie sue them for legal expenses ?

there still going in a forward direction,most of the things are in place,they did plant beans in the field this year,there having a hard time finding a bank to pop on a dragstrip,a buying stock is a option,and it will be 1/4 mile,no 1/8 mile,if there going to do it when they get the funds,they will build and not stop till complete,and yes,they will have a national event,ronnies working very hard and there family and steve,ronnies got all his money in this,yes they owe money to lawyers but that was fiquired in to the 1.6 million they need which lawyers will be paid when they get the money,so get off of ronnies ass ,just because its not happening as fast as anyone wants,if anyone think they can do this I like to see them try it

From what Ive read here. If he doesnt want any body to have any say in anything , How can you expect someone to put money in it. Investors want a say in things before they shell out the coin. They want to make sure they will be getting a return on there investment. I dont blame them.
As far as the little man goes, why would we put money in this fight. As of this right now its pretty much looked like Three monkeys screwing a football in the publics eyes. I work way to hard for my money to try it on something that hasnt started out any better then this.
As with every project there will be trials and tribulations. But every one of us will agree that this has not been managed very well from the get go. From the first P&Z meeting.
I am all for this track as it will be very close to home. But I dont have my hopes up very high. I think things will have to take a big swing and things be a little more open before the money will start flowing in.
If you want the big money investors you are going to have to give up some of the business say so. Thats just the way it works. But it sounds like and Ive been hearing for a while now, That the money was there just had to give up some stake in the business. But wouldnt give it up.
Anyway Ill keep on hoping and Ill keep racing at Gateway for now. Maybe one day, we will have a track in New Florence MO. Only time will tell.
